Motorcyclist Falls Off Overpass, Dies

HOUSTON -- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in East Houston.

Houston police said a man was riding a Yamaha motorcycle rapidly in the westbound lanes of the East Freeway at about 9 a.m. Saturday.

The motorcyclist lost control in the 800 block of the East Freeway, hit a concrete barrier and fell off an overpass, police said. The man landed in a parking lot below the freeway, where he was pronounced dead.

The motorcyclist's name has not been released.
